Voices of Change (VOC): Kick-Off Meeting Launches a Transformative Journey in Rome!

The Voices of Change (VOC) project officially launched with an inspiring Kick-Off Meeting held at Roma Tre University, bringing together a diverse group of participants to embark on this ambitious 20-month initiative.

A Gathering of Diversity and Collaboration

The meeting brought together representatives from 20 partner organizations across 15 different countries, each accompanied by one of the migrant-background girls who will be part of the European Consultative Body. In total, the event featured participants from over 30 countries, creating a vibrant and enriching atmosphere of cross-cultural exchange.

Setting the Foundation for Change

This in-person meeting provided a unique opportunity for partners and future participants to connect, share their visions, and lay the groundwork for the project’s next steps. Key activities included:

  • Introducing the VOC project to all participants.
  • Facilitating meaningful dialogue between the partners and the young migrant women, fostering mutual understanding.
  • Outlining the next steps, including the formation and activities of the European Consultative Body.

About the VOC Project

Funded by the CERV program of the European Commission, the Voices of Change project aims to empower young migrant women across Europe, fostering their civic engagement and amplifying their voices in public and political spaces. Over the next 20 months, the initiative will work to build bridges, promote inclusivity, and create opportunities for these young women to become leaders in their communities.

Looking Ahead

As the journey begins, the VOC project is set to inspire transformative change, both for the participants and the broader communities they represent. Stay tuned for updates as we work together to amplify the voices of young migrant women and foster a more inclusive Europe.
