Building Leadership: Training Sessions for the European Consultative Body

The European Consultative Body for Migrant Girls’ Civic Engagement is launching a series of 13 online training sessions designed to equip its 84 members with the knowledge and skills needed for meaningful civic and political participation. Taking place from February 11 to March 15, 2025, these sessions will provide an in-depth exploration of key issues related to leadership, advocacy, and engagement in European democratic processes. Each session, lasting 2-3 hours, will be led or co-led by partner organizations, ensuring a diverse and expert-driven learning experience.

Participants will explore critical issues such as:
Advocacy and Policy Change in Europe – Understanding how to drive meaningful change at the policy level.
Developing Leadership Skills – Building confidence and strategic thinking for future leaders.
Political Participation and Leadership in Europe – Navigating political structures and accessing leadership opportunities.
Disinformation and Media Literacy in Europe – Recognizing and combating misinformation in digital spaces.
Identifying Community Needs in Europe – Learning strategies to assess and address social challenges.
Overcoming Cultural Barriers in Europe – Tackling challenges that hinder inclusion and equal participation.
Understanding Civic Engagement in Europe – Exploring the role of active citizenship in democratic societies.
Gender Intersectionality in Europe – Analyzing how gender intersects with other social factors in shaping experiences.
Women’s Rights and Advocacy in Europe – Strengthening efforts to advance gender equality and human rights.
2024 Parliament Elections: Impact and Results – Assessing the outcomes and implications for European policies.
Understanding the Role of Women in Politics in Europe – Examining the barriers and opportunities for women in leadership.
Media and Communication Skills Applied in Europe – Enhancing the ability to communicate effectively and engage audiences.
Introduction and Funding of the EU – Gaining insights into the European Union’s structure and available funding opportunities.

These training sessions will empower migrant and refugee-background girls, alongside local participants, to develop practical skills, gain deeper insights into European governance, and strengthen their ability to influence policy and advocate for inclusive social change.
