Europamente was proud to be part of the final event of the REWINS project, EMPOWER: A Day of Storytelling, Learning, and Gaining Agency, held on November 6th and 7th, 2024, in Amsterdam. Organized by the FARE NETWORK, the event brought together sports associations and civil society organizations united by a common goal: to promote social inclusion through sport, with a special focus on migrant girls.
The two-day event provided a dynamic platform for organizations to exchange stories, share best practices, and foster new collaborations aimed at creating positive change in the lives of young migrant women. One of the most moving highlights of the day was the personal stories shared by several young migrant women, who spoke about their experiences with resilience, empowerment, and the transformative power of sport. Their voices underscored the importance of inclusion and representation in the world of sports.
A key part of the event was the Theory of Change workshop, led by Joseph Seh. Participants gained valuable insights into the strategic planning of social change, with practical tools and methodologies to better plan and implement their initiatives. This session empowered attendees with the knowledge and confidence to drive positive change within their own communities.
The day wrapped up with an energizing coaching session led by Michelle Moore, MA BA, which left everyone inspired and motivated to continue working toward a more inclusive and equitable future for migrant girls through sport.
