The ECON – European Cooperation Network, established in 2023, continues to grow stronger each year, fostering collaboration, expertise, and shared objectives among organizations across Europe. On December 5th and 6th, 2024, over 70 organizations gathered in the beautiful city of Porto for an inspiring networking event, hosted by the Universidade do Porto and organized by TIA Formazione Internazionale Aps.
ECON’s mission is to strengthen European policies by connecting organizations that promote European values. This annual event provides a platform for NGOs, universities, companies, and other entities to engage with experts, share ideas, and collaborate on projects that contribute to a unified Europe. Each participating organization has the opportunity to exchange knowledge, stimulate new ideas, and forge valuable connections with like-minded partners.
Europamente was proud to be part of this vibrant event, engaging in discussions that centered on collective goals for the future of Europe. The event not only highlighted the importance of mutual respect but also offered participants the chance to explore new horizons and deepen their involvement in European programs.
This year’s session in Porto marked the second annual gathering, following the inaugural event in Rome in 2023. With future sessions already planned—including a special meeting on Horizon Europe in May 2025 and another annual session in December 2025—the ECON network continues to expand, strengthening its collaborative vision for Europe.
The participation of the Portuguese National Agency further enriched the discussions, providing valuable insights into opportunities within European programs.
