Innovative Minds United in Struga: A Successful Youth Exchange for Inclusive Societies
From the 8th to 15th of April 2024, the beautiful landscapes of Struga, North Macedonia, hosted the impactful youth exchange program “Innovative Mindsets Create Inclusive Societies.” This event brought together 30 young individuals from six countries—Croatia, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Spain, and Turkey—to foster innovation, social entrepreneurship, and inclusivity.
Five activists in Europamente took part in the exchange, eager to bridge cultural and geographical borders and collaborate on business ideas that are innovative, socially impactful and sustainable. The program aimed to equip these young minds with the skills and mindset necessary to create positive change in our society.
The training used non-formal educational methodologies, engaging participants in activities that promoted problem-solving, creativity, innovation, communication, and teamwork. These interactive sessions ensured a successful learning process, providing practical skills applicable in real-world settings. Throughout the week, participants shared experiences, ideas, and best practices, leading to a rich intercultural exchange. They collaborated on projects, developing innovative business ideas with a strong focus on inclusivity and sustainability.
The event not only enhanced the participants’ entrepreneurial skills but also built lasting connections among young innovators across Europe. This youth exchange laid the foundation for future collaborations and initiatives aimed at promoting inclusive and innovative societies.
The success of “Innovative Mindsets Create Inclusive Societies”, funded through the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, highlights the importance of such initiatives in empowering young people to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
