From the 25th to the 31st of March 2024, EuropaMente took part in the transformative Care for Change training course, organized and led by La Savia – Escuela de Educación Emocional, in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Spain.
The week-long training brought together 22 participants from seven different countries, bringing together an international community keen on critical discussions around conflict management, non-violent communication, and the power of active listening. The sessions were designed to help participants gain a deeper understanding of their emotions, limits, and needs.
A distinctive feature of the training was its use of non-formal learning methodologies. Participants engaged in activities that went beyond traditional learning frameworks, through the use of theatre, music, dance, and writing as tools to express themselves, deepen their understanding, and acquire new knowledge in innovative ways. This enriching experience was made possible through the funding of the Erasmus+ Programme, highlighting the program’s commitment to fostering personal growth and intercultural dialogue. The Care for Change training course equipped participants with valuable skills and strengthened the bonds between individuals from diverse backgrounds, united by a common purpose: promoting peaceful and respectful relationships and communities.
